Meet Melbourne's the Jonas Brothers...
...with a pop rock twist!
The Sero Brothers are a Melbourne-based pop rock super duo featuring brothers Sebastian (13, lead vocals, guitar) and Luka (12, vocals and drums). Despite their young age, the brothers have been performing together on stage for years, touring with Mary Poppins, Elvis, Tony Award winning musical Fun Home, Billy Elliot, Les Miserables, Round the Twist & The Who's Tommy.
While on tour for Mary Poppins, the brothers started gigging Jackson 5 covers inspired by their Fun Home set list, along with a medley of Disney and show tunes that first launched their careers, which soon lead to them writing their own music, influenced by fellow Disney turned pop siblings the Jonas Brothers.
They released their debut single Cutie in Feb 2024, a summery explosion of Aaron Carter & Hanson inspired bubblegum pop beats with an infectious hook which they followed up with the release of the R&B infused Brother, a touching ode to brotherhood, and nod to the male mentors that helped shape the boys' young lives & early career.
Figure It Out, a ballad 'which was totally inspired by BSB's Shape of My Heart, daggy dance moves and all,' Seb grins, soon followed and then in 2025, the brothers started to experiment with playing their own instruments live, leading to the release of Walk On, Bye!, brothers' fourth single, 'which we kinda wanted to sound like Skater Boi, and something a bit more pop punk,' Seb says, 'and then we went and then One Ok Rock came to town and it our minds were blown. We wrote our next song, Better Like This, as a kinda homage to them and really got into rock so I think we're gonna keep experimenting with that for a bit but we'll see - we still love harmonising and haven't totally closed our dancing chapter yet so keep an eye out for our next music vid!
Snakes and scripts
The brothers are also carving out impressive careers in the screen world, Luka starring in ABC's It's Andrew, Blacklight, Magic Beach, Oscar nominated Aussie film Shayda and Seb appearing in the Robbie Williams biopic Better Man, directed by Greatest Showman director Michael Gacey, Disney's The Clearing and the 2026 remake of Anaconda, where the lead singer stars as Jack Black's son Charlie McAllister. 'It was basically the best experience of my life,' Seb grins. 'Jack taught me so much about impro, and Paul (Rudd) too...and obviously a lot of air guitar happened, too, which was extremely rad!'
Youngest brother Luka recently wrapped on a new ABC kids' TV series the Caper Crew, where he plays Kai Delaney, 'a little brainiac spy kid, who solves mysteries and is kinda like Sheldon meets Hermione, with cool outfits,' Luka says.
He's also a fan of classical music too, recently recording a cover of the popular classic Christmas song Walking in the Air and a cover of Ave Maria that topped Italian music charts last Christmas.
